Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kemal Yöntem

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kemal Yöntem completed his undergraduate education in 2006, his master's degree in 2013, and his doctorate in 2017. After serving for 7 years in institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, he worked as a faculty member at Gaziosmanpaşa University (2013–2018) and Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (2018–2022).

Since 2022, he has been serving as Chair of the Department of Psychology at Samsun University. Between 2019 and 2020, he was a visiting scholar at Kent State University in the United States, where he conducted research on the supervision of psychological counselors in Turkey and the U.S. together with Prof. Dr. Marty Jencius. During this period, he also received training in Career Counseling from Prof. Dr. Mark Savickas, founder of Career Construction Theory, and in Q Methodology from Prof. Dr. Steven R. Brown.

Holding accreditations from the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies in the United States and the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT), Yöntem holds the title of International Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT Therapist).
